Celebrating the Battle of Hastings, the town recognises its rich history and its diverse culture, with car shows, reenactments and fireworks displays, there are slots to see and do this week!
Battle of Hastings Re-enactment 2021
9th & 10th October
Watch as 500 renactorsrecreate the famous battle of Hastings on the very spot where King Harold and Duke William fought in 1066.
Rye Bonfire Pageant 2021
The procession of visiting bonfire societies led by Rye and District Bonfire Society winds its way through the town to the Salts where an enormous bonfire is lit, followed by a breathtaking firework display. Additional details TBC.
Artists and Makers Gift Market
20th – 21st November
Market selling locally made goods at the Rye Harbour Nature Reserve Discovery Centre. A great place to find some unique handcrafted gifts such as soaps, cards, prints, candles and glass as well as much more!
